This file was initially tagged by McGeddon as no source (No source since). File is likely a derivative as indicated in the source field. I think it is OK to keep. Basvb (talk) 17:58, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
- Mbz1 created this image by photoshopping the given photograph according to her own statement. I do not have any doubt in regard to that – Mbz1 was always honest, trustworthy, and BTW quite proficient in using Photoshop. The image was used for the Wikipedia article Jafr alien invasion, an April Fools' Day prank. The image was critized as not being related to the incident and subsequently removed from the article. There exist, however, older revisions of this file which were derived from File:Hmp-refuted avro2uh.jpg which was later deleted as no source was provided. I have just hidden them. I know, however, nothing about the attached Arabic text. --AFBorchert (talk) 13:46, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
- Oh, right, I'd flagged it for deletion because it described itself as a "retouched" version of File:Hmp-refuted avro2uh.jpg (deleted in 2011 for having no source, meaning that this image would have no clear source either), but the RetouchedPicture template is actually referring to an earlier, different version of the image.
- It turns out it was me that cut it from the Wikipedia article a couple of years ago - I'd still lean towards deletion here, as I can't see any educational value in an artist's impression of what front-page Arabic newspaper coverage of a UFO sighting might have looked like (using an entirely unrelated photo of a Canadian UFO museum, and text from an unclear source). --McGeddon (talk) 10:11, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
