Description
Deutsch: Älteres Weibchen der Großen Heidelibelle (Sympetrum striolatum) im Naturschutzgebiet Cuxhavener Küstenheiden. Beachte die leichte Rotfärbung entlang der Medianlinie und die einsetzende hellblaue Bereifung des Abdomens, die ein älteres Weibchen kennzeichnet. Im Gegensatz zur sehr ähnlichen Gemeinen Heidelibelle (Sympetrum vulgatum) steht die Legeröhre der Großen Heidelibelle schräg und nicht rechtwinkelig vom Abdomen (Hinterleib) ab.
English: Older Female of the Common Darter (Sympetrum striolatum) in the nature reserve Cuxhavener Küstenheiden, northern Lower Saxony, Germany. Consider the light red coloration along the median line and the beginning blue pruinosity of the abdomen, which marks an older female.
