Out of scope. If kept, the first revision needs to be deleted anyway, as it contains non-free material. Prof. Professorson (talk) 20:10, 7 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Comment This is arguably in scope, since it is in use on Commons (on a talk page) and relates to a Wikimedia event (a fundraiser). I agree the initial version should be deleted. Technically the logo usage doesn't fall within the blanket permission granted by WMF for media and press reports, but we have categories full of hundreds of such images (e.g. Category:Wikipedia screenshots containing works copyrighted by Wikimedia), so I'm hesitant to call for its deletion on that basis. --Avenue (talk) 06:01, 8 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well, my understanding of COM:SCOPE#File in use on Commons only is that being in use on a user talk page certainly doesn't make it in scope. I really can't imagine this file ever being used for anything else. Prof. Professorson (talk) 10:58, 8 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Then our interpretations differ. I don't see anything there about where "files relating to projects or events of the Wikimedia Foundation" must be placed. On the other hand, I agree the image seems unlikely to be used again, and the last post in the thread it's part of took place about two weeks ago, so perhaps continuing to host it serves little further purpose. --Avenue (talk) 05:46, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
