@webmink @osi It's on blog.opensource.org and carries the OSI logo suggesting this is an OSI approved message. Publishing views on there that are at odds with the OSD seems poorly considered.Talking about "embrac(ing) responsible licensing as a flavor of open" opens up the whole "ethical licensing" can of worms that has threatened to weaken the OSD.Stable Diffusion was toted in various places (Wikipedia, until I corrected it) as Open Source, despite not being OSI-approved, not meeting OSD.

@dentangle Well, it's on the Voices of Open Source blog, not on opensource.org or under an OSI byline...But the comment Alek makes about RAIL seems apposite to me. He does not advocate for adding subjective restrictions into FOSS licenses; rather he's asking about how we cope with the whole AI issue. That's where the software itself is trivial but the data model that drives it is impactful. We can't just respond to that with "do what you like as long as the trivial software is FOSS".@osi
