Mautic Association Extends Global Reach with Open Source Initiative Affiliate Membership
New open source project is growing quickly, hopeful OSI Affiliation will foster support and collaboration with others in the open source world.
June 10, 2015 – PALO ALTO, Calif. — The Open Source Initiative® (OSI) announced today the Affiliate Membership of The Mautic™ Association (www.mautic.org), a non-profit organization focused on supporting the Mautic free and open source marketing automation system. The Mautic Association provides resources and a network for people to connect and grow both personally and professionally through collaboration and co-creation.
Actively growing with over 9,000 businesses and organizations worldwide, the Mautic Association is focused on helping every business, organization, charity and government office regardless of size or revenues through the development and management of powerful marketing software. The Mautic marketing platform provides everything from lead generation, lead nurturing, landing pages to campaigns, email marketing and social media marketing. Mautic is founded on the belief that open source is the only way to truly demonstrate equality for all and by working together as a community everyone will be better equipped and supported to recognize the true potential of their organization.
“The Mautic Association has shown a deep commitment to the long-term success, not only of the Mautic project, but other open source software communities they actively support and collaborate with as well,” said OSI General Manager, Patrick Masson. “The Mautic Association was also very helpful in the development of our Affiliate Member Program’s requirements, serving as a test case to help the OSI define and refine the criteria for Affiliate Membership–again, this highlight’s their willingness to contribute beyond their own project.”
David Hurley, founder of Mautic added, “The Mautic community holds deeply to the beliefs and values put forth by the OSI and we are thrilled with the opportunity to demonstrate this unity by becoming a part of the OSI as an Affiliate Member. As a community, we support the mission and goals of the OSI and look forward to sharing our resources and community skills in an effort to further that mission and ensure the long-term success of open source.”
OSI Affiliate membership demonstrates to those across the technology landscape the value organizations place on open source software. The OSI Affiliate Member Program allows any non-profit community, organization or institution—unequivocally independent groups with a clear commitment to open source—to join the OSI in support of it’s mission to educate about and advocate for the benefits of open source software and to build bridges among different constituencies in the open source community. The current OSI Affiliate membership is a who’s-who of the world of open source software. The Affiliate Member Program is available to non-profits, educational institutions and government agencies.
