We are a family-run company that didn’t become aware of open source tools until six years ago when leadership changed to the next generation in our family. Since then we have experienced significant growth through the help of open source technologies, and we understand the significance and importance of the movement.

We recognize that many of the tools we all use in our daily lives would not have been developed if not for the open source movement. For instance, if many of the tools we use today had been patented under proprietary development models, this might have prevented or had a strong negative impact on the advancements we are experiencing. Open source has influenced not only our business, but society as a whole.

Offering support to the community through sponsorship with OSI is our way of expressing our gratitude for the open source tools that we now rely on.

Looking into the year ahead, the world is continuing to become more interconnected. Data plays an important role, and our family’s background is not in computer science. So this data-driven development was quite challenging for us. For this reason, we hope that in 2022 the OSI will contribute to simplifying open source topics for people without a big computer science background.
