Stefano provides an update on the financial and operational status, and staffing changes. As a result of increased sponsorships related to the Deep Dive AI work, we are ahead of our operating reserves target. Free-tier individual membership signups are also trending up over the past few months.
Stefano provides a recap of the recent AI Town Hall meeting, and an updated timeline of our work towards a definition of “Open Source AI” v. 1.0.

The board discusses whether there need to be procedures for updating the “Open Source AI” definition after a v1.0 is published.
Aeva notes that the Board will want to have a structured process to review the relevant legal documents against the Open Source AI definition, once finalized, in a manner that is similar to the current License Review Committee’s process. After a brief discussion, consensus is reached, and a few Board members volunteer to bring a proposal for the creation of a new Committee to the next Board meeting.
Stef shares the recommendation of the License Review Committee with respect to the Blue Oak Model License. Justin moves to approve the license. Carlo seconds. All present approve.
